COLLAPSE IN PASSAGE.

WATERSIDE WORKER'S FATE. Death due to fatty degeneration of the heart was the verdict returned in accordance with medical evidence by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., yesterday at an inquest concerning the death of John Phey, aged about 57, a waterside worker. He wa3 found dead on Thursday morning in a passage of the house where he was living. John Hammond, proprietor of the house where deceased was lodging, said deceased had lived there for the past three years. Late on Wednesday afternoon Phey had seemed in good health, but at 5.30 on Thursday morning witness found hirn lying in the passage outside the door.
