SUPPORTERS AT THAMES. [nr TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES, Friday. A meeting of supporters of tho United Party was held last evening, there being nil attendance of about. 60. Mr. F. 11. Burbush, chairman of the Auckland executive, and Mr. G. C. Munns, M.P. for Roskill, were present. Mi. Munns gave an address on the aims of the party. Mr. W. Madgwick, of Turua, was appointed chairman of the executive and Mr. W. H. Taylor, secretary.
The selection of a candidate is expect cd to tako place in three weeks.
