WEDDING.

McDERMOTT—FERGUSON. At St. David's Church, Khyber Pass, tho wedding was celebrated recently of Miss Christina Gertrude Ferguson, elder daughter of Mrs. and tho late Mr. James Ferguson, of Opotiki, to Sir. Royden M. J. McDermott, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy McDermott, of Ponsonby. Tho Rev. D. D. Scott performed the ceremony, and the wedding music was played by Mr. Craston. The bride, who was given away by Mr. T. ]. Steele, of Opotiki. wore a frock of ivory chiffon taffeta and silk net'. The semi-fitting corsage caught at the hip with a cluster of orange blossom, had long, tight-fitting sleeves and was brought to ankle length by a wide hem of silk net. ller embroidered tulle veil was held in place with sprays of orange blossom, and she carried ;l shower bouquet of white roses, lilies of the valley and sweetpeas. Miss Phyllis Hill attended as bridesmaid, and wore an ankle-length frock of primrose georgette fashioned with inset flares and a coatee finished with pin tucks. A largo picture hat was worn (o match. She carried a bouquet of primrose tonings. Little Betty Mason was flower girl, and wore an ankle-length frock of pale pink taffeta with ail ove:skii't of net, finished with pink f>atin bands, and a Kate Grccnaway bonnet with pink, mauve and silver trimmings. She carried a pink and silver posy. Mr. Rayinond Joughin attended the bridegroom as best man. The reception was held in the Domain Kiosk, Mrs. Ferguson, mother of tho bride, receiving her guests in a floral crepe de chine frock of black and autumn tonings. and a black hat. Sho carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. Mrs. P. McDermott, the bridegroom's mother, wore a blue floral georgette frock with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of cyclamens and sweatpcas.
