FAREWELL PARTY. Miss Keddie, president of the W;iikato branch of the New Zealand Trained Nurses' .Association, was hostess at an afternoon tea party given in the Wattle Tea Rooms in honour of Miss Bicknell, R.R.0., of Wellington, Director-General and Registrar of Nursing in New Zealand, who is shortly to retire. Miss Keddie, on behalf of the trained nurses presented Miss Bicknell with a beautiful bouquet of roses and an interesting book. Miss Keddie expressed regret that Miss Bicknell was retiring and the appreciation felt by all of her work in the nursing world. Miss Bicknell thanked everyone for their good wishes and their gift. Those present were: Mrs. T. E. Eraser, Mrs. Gribben, Mrs. M. M. llockin, Mrs. P. T. Snell, Mrs. S. G.raham, Mrs. J. McKinnon, Mrs. Wilkins, Mrs. McEldowney, Mrs. Clark, Miss Keddie, Miss Vetti, Miss Flicker, Miss Jenkins, Miss McCormick, Miss Wallis, Miss Anderson, Miss Young, Miss Clarkin, Miss Hawkins, Miss Harrowell, Miss Coad, Miss Oakden, Miss Leo Martin, Miss Close, Miss Hay, Miss M. Douglas, Miss McDonnell, Miss Signal, Miss T. Brown. Miss Maysio Moore, of Palmerston North, is visiting Hamilton, where she is the guest of Mrs. D. G. Meredith. Mrs. A. E. Manning has returned from a visit to England and the Continent. Mrs. F. C. House and Miss E. House have recently returned from abroad. Miss Ethel Hammond has returned after a visit to England and the Continent.
