FLIGHT WITH GERMANS. TAKES CONTROL FOR WHILE. RUGBY. Nov. 12. The Prince of Wales to-day Hew front Hcndon aerodrome to Southampton Water in an amphibian machine, the Saro Cloud, the most powerful of the type in tho world, owned by Captain Holt, a wealthy Canadian business man. The machine lauded at Calshot aerodrome, near the German flying-boat Dernier Do. X, where Dr. and Frau Dornier received the Prince. His Royal Highness subsequently was a'passenger in a demonstration flight in the flying-boat to the surpriso of the officials at Calshot. On the return flight over the Isle of Wight tho Prince, for a brief time, took full control of the Do. X. Tho Prince drank the health of the commander, Captain Christiansen, and crew and wished them success in their coming Atlantic flight, on which they are expected to start from Calshot on Friday. Later a short flight was made to enable ' the Prince to sec the flying-boat take off and alight on the water. His Hoy.il Highness told Dr. Dornier he was very much impressed with the comfort and vastness of the Do. X and congratulated the commander. The Prince then flew back to London in the private machine.
