TIMBER ROYALTIES.
Sir.—l have read with much ' interest Mr. E. E. Vaile's articles on wages [ am afraid he is a hit out when he states that 2 per cent, represents royalty o 'i timber. I -have tested it by working out, tho _ royalties on various classes an ,[ species of timber iri the Taupo district on to day's selling prices.
