Martin, a left-hander, then joined Birkett. Several changes were made in the bowling. At 119 BlundeJl took tho ball from Farsloe, whose eight overs had cost 23 runs. In the course of his reply to the welcome hv tho Mayor of Wellington, Mr. G. A. Troup, on hehalf of the citizens, the manager of the team, Mr. R. H. Mallett, said tho cricketers of England were eagerly looking forward to the visit of the New Zealand team next year, on account of the most favourable impression which the team from tho Dominion had created in 1927. Tho West Indian rricketers wished the New Zealanders every success fn England. The West Indians left for Auckland by the express train this evening and will fail from Auckland for Sydney to-morrow. Tho Australian tour will begin with a match against New South Wales at Sydney on November 21, and will conclude ■with the fifth test, match at Sydney on March '1: Th« team is due to arrive back in Wellington on March 10, and will sail the day.
