The missing fisherman, Mr. Andrew Andersen, who reached Tauranga from Opotiki in his 16ft. open boat last weekend, after having been missing for four days, ■ and who later put out for the Wai.hi Beach, had not reached his destination this evening. However, a small craft with what appeared to be a sail made of sacking was seen during the day by natives and others some distance out at sea, off the Rowcntown Hcad3. It is presumed that this is Mr. Andersen's boat, in which case ho should make land in safety, as the weather has greatly improved since "last night.
