YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—Tho weal her was fine and sunny yesterday morning, but dull and cloudy in the afternoon and evening. A moderate breeze was blowing from the south-west. There was a slight rise in the barometer, which was' steady at 30.05 in. last night. Wellington.—Yesterday morning was sunny, but early in the afternoon the sky became overdist. Christchurch.—The weather yesterday was fine, with a moderate breeze from ihe north-east. Tho maximum temperature was 5r degrees. The barometer had a falling tendency, the reading in the evening being 29.95 in.. Dunedin. —The weather was fine to-day with more cloud than sunshine, and a light wind from the north-east. Iha maximum temperature was 62 degrees, and the barometer was steady, the reading in the evening being 29.90 in.
