BANKRUPT'S CONDUCT.
CREDITORS DISSATISFIED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —own CORRESPONDENT.] MATAMATA. Friday. A re-examination of R. E. Burke, who was adjudicated a bankrupt in November, 1926, was held in the courthouse, Matamata, to-day, before Mr. A. W. Walters, official assignee, Auckland. Bankrupt stated that he could make no offer to his creditors, although his wife had promised to help him from au interest she liad in an Australian estate.
The meeting passed a unanimous resolution expressing dissatisfaction with bankrupt's conduct and instructed the official assignee to oppose any application for discharge. The official assignee commented that the position was most unsatisfactory. ' He was not satisfied that bankrupt had done his best.
