SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Auckland Sunday School Union was held last evening, the president, Mr. J. Tyler, presiding. Prior to the meeting tea was provided for city and suburban delegates. The Rev. L. B. Busfield, the secretary, gave an interesting address on the history of the union, which was established in 1865. The chairman paid a tribute to Mr. George Winstone, sen., who has been a member of tho union for over 60 years. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The electioiv of officers'resulted :—President, Mr. J. Tyler; vice-presidents. Miss Winstone, Messrs. W. H. Newton and" W. Rew; treasurer, Mr. W. A. lvendon; honorary solicitor. Mr. W. D. M. Glaister; committee, Mrs. Green. Mrs. Reese, Miss 0. Earle, Rev. H. A. G. Clark. Messrs. C. H. "Virtue, A. Greenman. R. H. Utting, T. E. Fraser, R. W. Huntington, S. E. Chappell, G. Falla and D. H. Thomas; member of trade committee. Mr. ,T. W. Court : auditors. Messrs. F. S. Battley and T. E. Whitton.
