THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
VISIT TO SOUTH ISLAND* [by telegraph.—press association.] WELLINGTON*, Friday. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe left Wellington for Christchurch this evening. They will attend the opening day of the Canterbury Jockey Club's spring meeting and after fulfilling a number of engagements will visit Mount Cook for two days. Thev return to Christchurch ori November 13 and on November 17 will leave for official visits to Timaru and Oamaiu. On November 28 Their Excellencies will return to Wellington where they will remain in residence until after Christmas.
