HEAT IN AUSTRALIA.
SYDNEY PEOPLE SUFFER. DUST IN OTHER STATES. (Received November 5, 12.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 4. The Citizens of Sydney have suffered from heat for the past 24 hours. Last night was Iho hottest for 16 years. The temperature at ten o'clock was 81 degrees. Again this morning there was a fierce sun a'nd hot wind and the temperature at nine o'clock was 89 degrees. It remained in the 80's all day. High temperatures and blinding dust were experienced in South Australia and Victoria yesterday with storms at night. The atmosphere was heavily charged with the dust, which spoiled clothing and caused considerable damage to property. ,
