CONVALESCENT WOMEN.
SPECIAL ROOM OPENED. WHANGAREI HOSPITAL FUNCTION [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Tuesday. A room for convalescents in the women's ward of the Whangarei Hospital was opened yesterday by Mrs. Brabazon, of the Hospital Comforts Club, and formally handed over to the board. The ceremony was attended by the Hon. A. J. Murdoch and the Mayor of Whangarei. The room has been provided as a result of the enthusiastic work of members of the Hospital Comforts Club.
