TE AWAMUTU SALEYARDS.
PROPOSED NEW STOCK ROUTE GUARANTEE BY BOROUGH. [bt telegraph.—own correspondent.] TF, AWAMUTU. Tuesday. A report was received by the Te Awamutu Borough Council at its meeting last evening from the Works Committee, which recommended that the council guarantee one-fourth of tho interest and sinking fund on a loan not exceeding £IOOO, to be raised by the Waipa County Council, to provide a new stock route from the western districts to the Te Awamutu saleyards, which entails crossing the railway line a few hundred yards north of the main highway to Pirongia. The new route will skirt the local racecourse for some distance and enter the borough via Tawhiao Street, thence to the municipal saleyards. Tho council agreed to the recommendation.
