CO-OPERATION VITAL.
MARKETING OF PRODUC&, LORD BLEDISLOE'S CONVICTION. [BY TELEGRAPH.— PR-ESS ASSOCIATION.] BLENHEIM, Tuesday. "We are up against co-operation in every part of tjie world as the basis of successful husbandry in butter." said the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, at a luncheon tendered to him to-day by 'tlio Blenheim Rotary Club. "Wo aro up against Denmark. 1 know Denmark almost as well as my own country, and I know that co-operation is carried into every field thero. " I hardly trust myself to speak about cheese," said His Excellency, " because there aro so many controversies in regard to it. You are up against Canada, which is also a country whero co-opera-tion is practised. Without co-opera-tion neither Denmark nor Canada could hold its own against tho products of this country, far though sho be from her markets. Tho wholo essence of cooperation is tho spirit of mutual servico and absolute loyalty to your co-operativo organisations. " I have ever hoped and believed that New Zealand will realise this in her primary industries and her other industries, as they expand, and 1 am certain that,, when her products are in keen competition with co-operatively and managed industries, she must cooperate strictly, rigidly and meticulously herself."
