YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN SOUTH. Auckland.—The weather was fine yesterday and a moderate breezo was blowing from tho west. The barometer was steady all day at 30.25 in.
Wellington.—Cloudy and overcast conditions ruled at Wellington yesterday,There was a light air from the south and the temperature was mild. Toward evening light, misty rajn set in.
Christchurcli.—After light showers during the night tho weather yesterday was overcast, and rain set in at dusk. '1 he maximum temperature was 76 degrees. There was little wind during the day but a light breezo blew from the east'' in tho evening. Tho barometer varied only three points, and was steady in the evening at 30.15 in. * Dunedin.—The weather was dull and overcast yesterday, with a light wind from the south-west. The maximujp t em " perature was 58 degrees.. The barometer was high and fairly steady, tho evening reading being 30.10 in.
