BUSINESS HOUSES' MATCH. WHOLESALE DEFEATS RETAIL. Tho nnnual Rugby football match between teams representing the retail and wholesale soft goods houses of Auckland wus played at Blandford Park last evening under electric light, when wholesale gained a victory by 215 points to 11. Tho weather was fine and tho ground hard. There was a fair attendance of spectators. Tries were scored for tho winners by Solomon (2), Gimmick, Bunting, Williams and Abbott. Wales converted two and Cummick and Scott one each. Berridgo and Brown scored tries for the retail team, Berridgo converting one and kicking n penalty poal.
The proceeds will bo handed to th ; 6 Interhouse Girls' Sports Association, while a donation will bo mado to tho St. John Ambulance Association.
