LATE SIR N. HOWSE.
FUNERAL AT LONDON. TRIBUTE FROM AUSTRALIA. LONDON. Sept. 23. There was a largo assemblage of distinguished people at the funeral of the late Sir Neville Howse. The service was held at All Soul's Chapel at Kensal Green Cemetery. The coffin was covered with a Union Jack. One laurel wreath was inscribed: "From all the people ot Australia, who loved him who had served so well." The Bishop of New Guinea, the Right Rev. Henry Newton, paid a fine tribute to Sir Neville as surgeon, soldier and statesman. He said courage and determination were Sir Neville's outstanding characteristics.
