THE PRIME MINISTER.
VISIT TO AUSTRALIA. INVITATION TO BE SENT. SYDNEY, Sept. 24. Mr. L. J. Schmitt, Now Zealand Trado and Tourist Commissioner to Australia, lias been requested by influential Australian business men to extend an invitation to the Prime Minister' of New Zealand, Mr. G. W. Forbes, to visit Sydney upon his return from the Imperial Conference, to discuss the question of closer trado relations between Now Zealand and Australia and kindred subjects. Mr. Schmitt agreed to remit the request to the Dominion Minister of Commerce, Mr. P. A. de la Perrelle.
PARTY ON MAJESTIC. DUE IN ENGLAND YESTERDAY. The Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbos, tho ■ Leader of the Legislative Council, Sir Thomas Sidey, and tho other New Zealand representatives at the forthcoming Imperial Conference were due to arrive ut Southampton yesterday, according to cabled information received by Dalgety and Company, Limited. Tho party joined the Majestic, the world's largest liner, at New York on Friday, the Regal suite being devoted to Mr. Forbos by courtesy of the White Star Line.
