MEANING OF LIFE.
THEOSOPHICAL LECTURE. " Theosophy, (ho Scicnco of Life," was the subject of a public lecture delivered to a largo audience in (ho Theosophical Hall last evening by Bishop Arundale, of Sydney. In treating tho subject, the speaker said tho answer to the eternal question of what was life lay beyond faiths, philosophies and cultures, but was to bo found hidden in them, sometimes distorted by man-mado assertions. Comparing the early Christian with tho Christian of to-day it was to bo noted that the' world had gone from simplicity and freedom to complexity and intolerance. Theosophy, ho claimed, mado life worth while and triumphant, since ono acquired a definite religion in seeking truth.
