BASKETBALL DANCE.
PAPATOETOE FUNCTION. Tho Papatoetoo Town Hall presented an animated and colourful scene on Friday evening, when tho Papatoetoo Basketball Club held its annual dance. The club's colours, black and white, were artistically used to form a huge ball-shaped centre piece, and from this multi-col-oured streamers and balloons, with orange and lemon colours predominating, radiated to overy corner of tho hall. An excellent programmo of dancing was enjoyed to music by Walker's orchestra. During tho evening extras wore played by Mrs. A. J. Collings. Tho floor arrangements woro in tho hands of Messrs. Will. McFarland and E. D. Burnsido. Among those present wero:—Mrs. Partridge, Airs. H. Baildon, Mrs. A. Collings, Misses Wilson, R. Partridge, N. Kendall, J. Piggin, P. Piggin, F. Trimble, I. Barton, T.
