TE KOPURU CLUB. A very satisfactory financial position was disclosed by the balance-sheet presented at the annual meetinc of the Te Kopuru Lawn Tennis Club. Di. J A. Marshall presided over a record attendance nf members. Tho statement ol receipts and expenditure! showed a profit for the year of i'lß 10s Id.

[llY TELEGRAPH. —OWN <OR It ESPON DENT. ] TE AROHA, Saturday. Speaking at the annual meeting of the Waitoa Tennis Club, the president, Mr. J. Lynch, said it was pleasing to see the increased interest taken by junior membem last season. The club had a membership of 50, which was most gratifying to the executive. The club distinguished itself in the Piako Association tournament Miss A. Cook won tlie ladies' championship .singles and Mi;ses Williams and Luxton the ladies' doubles championship. The Waitoa ladies' handicap singles for the Johnstone Cup was won by Miss M. Prenter, and the same donor's cup for men was won by Mr. R I>. Johnstone. It was decided to open the season on October 4.
