SMALLPOX ON SHIP.
QUARANTINE AT SYDNEY
SOME PASSENGERS RELEASED
SYDNKY, Sept. V2. The liner Cliangte, from Hongkong, on which smallpox occurred on the voyage to Australia, arrived at Sydney in quarantine to-day. Sixteen of her passengers Were released.
Most of the Chinese on board are bound for Now Zealand or the Islands and will remain at the quarantine station for the ■full period of detention.
