Dissolvo one heaped tablespoonful of powdered borax in two tablespoonfuls of tepid water, then beat tins up, together with two tablespoonfuls of the tincture of quillaia, in one quart of hot, soft water.

A littlo blue shaken into clear water will help grey hair to keep its silvery tone, if it is used frequently for rinsing. From various causes tho hair is very often inclined to go prematurely grey, and this may bo prevented by a very simple and harmless remedy, which at the same time strengthens' the hair and assists its growth. Myc together equal parts of strong black tea and alcohol, and add to this a littlo, 1-itchen salt, and use as a hair wash.
