KEEP LOOKING PRETTY FOR HIM!
Now and again one meets a woman who doesn't think it matters how she looks at home! She drags out her shabby down-al-heel shoes, her faded frocks with I heir soiled lace jabots—these she dons " to wear out when we're alonp. my dear; and save better things!" And "my dear" nods, and says: "All right, darling," but all the time thinks quite differently! Now, we all know that shabby things can't, be flung aside. Bui. why not reserve them for the brooming and dusting time, when Jim isn't there to see them? Jim is tired and probably down hearted when he conies back from Iho office. A fresh gown with crisp lace on it will be a tonic to him! The nicest tea can be spoiled by a soiled table-cloth; and tho prettiest wife in the world can look unattractive if she has untidy hair and a summer frock that should be :n the wash-tub! Besides, it isn't quite fair to Jim to treat him to a kind of rag-bag toilette, is it?
