HEALTH OF LADY HEATH.

ALLEGED INCOMPETENCY,

Lady Heath, formerly Mrs. Elliott Lynn, the British air-woman, was alleged to bo " incompetent " in an application for appointment as her guardian recently filed at Cleveland, Ohio, by her nurse and companion, Miss Horenco Madden. Ihe action came as a surprise, as after her return from Keno, where she secured a divorce from Sir James Heath last May, Lady Heath made many public appearances, and her health appeared to bo good. Lady Heath, according to the application, is in a sanatorium, which sho entered the other day for treatment for a nervous condition, apparently the result of tho injuries sho received 12 months ago when her aeroplane crashed through tho roof of a factory. Miss Madden alleged that Lady Heath was no longer able properly to take care »»f herself and of her proporty, consisting of a trust fund from which she receives an annual income of £7OO.

* Lady Heath was one of the pioneers of flying for women in England. In 1928 sho flew across Africa to Capotown and back to England. Sho had a big crash at Cleveland last August whilo making an exhibition flight at the national air races. She fell through tho roof of a six-storey building, and was taken to hospital unconscious with a fractured skull. For some time it was feared that she would lose her sight.
