That the after-effects o! gas given during a dental extraction caused a man to walk in front of a motor-car was tho suggestion made at an Islington inquest. It. was stated that, after having four teeth extracted at the Royal Free Hospital, Alfred Ernest Adams, aged 47, was found at three o-clock in the morning staggering in the middle of the street. Ho fell in front of a motor-car and was fatally injured. Ho was a teetotaller. Tho coroner, Sir Walter Schroder, asked whether tho after-effects of tho gas used at tho teeth extraction could have caused tho condition. Dr. Thomas: I havo seoti tho condition a short while after a patient has had gas and regainod consciousness, but it is unusual three or four hours afterward. The inquiry was adjourned for evidonce of the extraction.
