AGED MAN'S DEATH.

NEW SOUTH WALES TRAGEDY SON'S CONVICTION QUASHED. (Received August 20, 8.55 p.m.) SYDNEY. August 29. The Full Court to day quashed the conviction of Cecil Charles on a charge of murder in connection with the death of his father in April and ordered a new trial. .lames Charles, aged 79, was discovered chad in a paddock at Windsor, 34 miles north-west of Sydney, on April 15. His head had been terribly injured. The body was covered with a neatly-folded bag. Cecil Charles, aged 53, a son of deceased, who lived lin a hut near the scene, informed the police that his father had been missing since the previous afternoon. Ifc said he cnuld not suggest a motive for the murder. Subsequently the son was arrested and on June 21 lie was convicted and senfenced to death. He denied the charge and declared that the crime had been committed by some unknown madman.
