A COMBINED BALL.

EVENING AT MILFORD. Over 400 dancers were present afc the annual ball of tlio Waiternata Women's Progressive League and tho !North Shore Ex-servicemen's Association, which was held at the Pirate Ship at Milford on Saturday evening. Dr. H. J. C. Wilkie, president of the Waiternata Women's Progressive League, welcomed the guests. Sir George Richardson, patron of the club, spoke of tho splendid work done in tho past by the two organisations in helping necessitous cases in tho district. Supper was served upstairs by tho ladies' committee., who wore assisted by some of the members of the Ex-servicemen's Association.
