AT THE FORT.
GREAT PREPARATIONS. Great preparations have been going on at Fort Belvedere, Sunningdale, which is the Prince of Wales' new country home. It is an eighteenth century fort cleverly converted into an ideal residence, just the sort of place the Prince will love. Before he left for Africa the Prince consulted with his architect about the alterations, and no trouble or expense has been spared in making it all as perfect as possible. Prince George has been staying there with a party of friends, and was quite unconcerned about the decorating and plumbing and hammering that has been going on all the time. The chief reception room has been decorated in the colour of old ivory. All the windows aro covered with the fashionable new net curtains, while the side curtains are of gaily coloured chintzes which h;«vo been chosen by the Queen.
