The interests of an undefended prisoner! at the Old Bailey lately, wero watched -vj by the llecorder, Sir Ernest Wild, :K.C. f who was trying tho case. . Toward the end of tho trial a juryman . asked why tho man was not legally > represented. x , ■ The Recorder replied that he was noti ' represented as he had no cdunsol and defence. Sir Ernest added: "T • don't ~ think ho has bejn badly defended, it||| yon ask me. I think Ido it f : well as any counsel."
