FRAUDULENT PACKING.
THREE GARDENERS FINED. Three market gardeners, two Chinese and one European, were fined in tho Police Court yesterday by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., for fraudulent packing of fruit and vegetables. Tho prosecutions were brought by the fruit inspector, Mr F N. Talbot, The inspector said that in tho case of Gerald Foley he found threo bags of potatoes with big ones on tho top and inferior ones underneath. Sam Yak was similarly charged in respect of three bags of aarrots. "This is a bad caso, as tho sack was filled with leaves and rubbish," the in spector said, when Wai Kee was charged with the fraudulent packing of cabbages Each defendant was fined £3 and costs
