BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION.

FAREWELL TO TEAM. A farewell dance in houour of the members of tho representative basketball team, who are leaving for Hastings to take part in the New Zealand tournament, was held by the Auckland Basketball Association in tho Lewis Eady Hall last evening. Intertwined streamers in the Basketball Association colours of blue and white wore looped round the walls and tho gallery, and palms were arranged on the stage. During tho evening tho presentation of badges was made to all the members of the representative team by tho president of the association, Miss P. E. Lee. Tho Parisian Studio orchestra supplied populai music for tho dancers.^ Among those present were:—Miss F. E. Jacombs, white lace over leaf-green satin; Miss L. Potter, mauve georgette and silver lame; Miss Swinton, wistaria-mauve taffeta; Miss B. Brennan, rose taffeta; Miss Y. Brennan, periwinkle blue floral satin; Miss Phoebe Norris, tflrquoise blue frilled taffeta; Miss Jean Harper, black embroidered georgette; Miss Irene Jeffs, white lace frock with ivory chenille georgette coatee; Miss Freda Kenny, floral chiffon; Miss Sybil Beale, shell pink georgette inlet with Chantilly lace; Mjss \V. Hill, white lace with floral embroideries.

Miss Rita Thompson wore green and silver lame: Miss E. Jones, flame satin; Miss A. Greaves, powder blue satin with tulle hem; Miss A. Sainty, jade green crepe de chine; Miss S.
