defections from party. LONDON, August 12. The position of the Liberal Party in Britain is attracting attention, in view of defections to the Conservatives and to to the Daily Telegraph, the Liberal organisers are prepared to finance only about 100 .candidates. at .the next general election. The Telegraph adds that the election in question is likely to see the laying of the ghost of the Libera! Party for good.
