COLLIER IN PERIL.
FIRE ON THE BROOKWOOD. ASSISTANCE MAY BE SOUGHT. LONDON, August 12. A wireless message from the collier Brookwood, which has fire in her cargo, and is making for Mauritius, states that another hole lias been cut in the engineroom bulkhead. The fire is still serious and gases ars bad. The crew are well. The captain requests that steamers in the vicinity will prepare to assist the Brookwood if necessary.
