FALSE COINS PASSED.
DISCOVERY BY BANKS. WARNING GIVEN TO PUBLIC. [bx telegraph.—press association.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Wellington banks have found that the 'tellers are receiving a nuinber of silvered pennies, with the head of Queen Victoria on one side and of Edward VII. ou the other side. The edges are notched, to suggest that they were onco milled. TJie public are warned to watch for these coins.
