TATUA COMPANY ACTIVITIES*

FINANCES VERY SATISFACTORY.:

A most satisfactory financial position was reported at the annual meeting of the Tatua (Tatuanui) Dairy Company to-day* The chairman of directors, Mr. W. J. Darrell, said the sum of £2OOO was on fixed deposit. It was. intended to build up the reserve capital, as in a few years the company would be faced with the cost of new buildings. With cash in hand the company had a reserve of £3OOO. The cost of production at the factory was £3 6s 5d a ton which was below the average for the Dominion. The standardisation of cheese was, recognised as a wis© policy and. the product was most satisfactory. The factory was prepared to advance money to suppliers who wished to put their in a proper hygienic state. Mr. Wyatt, manager of the Bank of Is ew Zealand, Morrinsville, said the affairs of tho company had been conducted _ in a most excellent manner. The policy of building up a reserve was most necessary. When they experienced a difficult year they had something to work on. The company was one of the most' successful in the North Island, The directors, Messrs. W. J. Darrell, J. M. Allen, H. S. Wilton. J. Hart, J. Baker, A. J. Luxton and F. J. Shirley, were reelected. NORFOLK FACTORY OUTPUT. NEARLY 500 TONS OF CHEESE. [Bl* TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.} HAMILTON, Wednesday. Referring to the Norfolk Co-operative Dairy Company's 1929-1930 season, which ended on June 30, the chairman of- the company, Mr. S. A. Ferguson, stated today that the company had manufactured nearly 500 tons of cheese. . The output was consigned and i*ealised a price equal to just under Is 6d per lb. of butter-fat.
