CAR RUN ON SOFT TURF. DRIVER FINED BY COURT. [jjy TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday. Th© action of a party of young people in. driving a motor-car about the sports ground on Taumata Park, Eltliam, on a recent night, "for a lark," proved costly. The wheels of the car dug into this soft turf and caused considerable damage, and the police took the matter up. Tho sequel was heard in the Eltham Court to-day, when the driver,. George Sidney Vickers, of Midhirst, was ordered to pay tho amount of the damage, £2, and fined £2 10s, with costs 15s.
