SYDNEY BUS SENSATION. MASKED THIEVES ESCAPE. > SYDNEY, August 11. A daring robbery was committed at midnight in the Sydney suburb of Newtown by two masked bandits. The criminals jumped on .to a crowded bus and at the points of revolvers bailed up the driver and conductor, at tho same time ordering the passengers to keep their seals. , The driver of the bus, James Rowe, was commanded not to stop tho vehicle. Tho conductor, Edward Burns, was forced .to relinquish his bag, which contained about £ls in cash. The passengers were panic-stricken and two women fainted. While the bu3 was still in motion tho robbers leaped off it and escaped.
