METHOD OF ELECTION. "It is that tho Act does not provido for .the forthcoming election of the Auckland Transport Board to b8 held on similar lines to that of the Auckland Power Board," said Mr. W. H. Nagle at a meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council last evening. "It is a great - weakness in the Act, Mr- Naglo said. "It really amounts to tho ward system of election, whereas the election should be held over the whole area. Tho matter of transport is one of the vital issues of the future. We have borne tho present system of election on sufferance, and wc havo been looking for a change." Messrs. Nagle, ,7. M. Melville and G. L. Taylor were appointed the council s representatives to a conference called by the Newmarket Borough Council to consider the afnendment of the Aft for tho election to bo taken over the whole district. 4
