COUNTRY DANCE FESTIVAL.
A largo number of Auckland Girl Guides, dressed in tho quaint costumes of country lads and lassies, and dancing Ihe old country folk dances, made u charming picture in tho Syrnondsville Cabaret la3t evening, when a country dance festival was held. The various movements ii) the old English dances wore most gracefully executed, and made an attractive scene for the onlookers, who included Mrs. R. J. Coatos and Miss Beryl Knight, Auckland divisional commissioners, the district commissioners and mothers of the guides. Special exhibitions of country dancing were also given by pupils of Madame Edith Baiid, these adding greatly to the pleasure of tho occasion.
