AIR RACE IN EUROPE.
CAPTAIN BROAD WINS. MR. BUTLER DISQUALIFIED. LONDON*. July -27. Captain 11. Broad was the first airman (o complete t lie circuit ot Europe race, lie arrived at tlie Templchof aerodrome, Berlin, three minutes before Mr. Alan Butler. who was automatically disqualified because he fitted a new propeller to his machine. Mr. Thorn (Britain) followed shortlv afterwards.
Next wore Andrews (England). Morzig. Poss and T'asewnldt (Germany), Final (France), the .Archduke Ilalisbourg-Bour-bon (Spain). All these have arrived five days before the closing date. ,\ mishap befell Mr. Butler on landing at. I'osen yesterday, and although lie was uninjured his propeller was damaged, and be was unable to leave for Warsaw until it was repaired. Ho was first to reach I'osen. but owing to the delay the German pilot Poss took the lead at the next station, Warsaw.
Four British pilots wove among the ten competitors who left Warsaw for Kocnigsl)prg before noon on Satin day.
