POLICE COURT NEWS.
BREACH OF PROBATION.
Charged with failing to comply with the terms of his release oil probation, Hayward McKay, seaman, aged 35, appeared in tlio Police Court on Saturday. The probation office Mr. W. J. Campbell, said accused had been placed 011 probation in August, 1927, and ordered to make restitution of £7 14s. Ho had paid £5 off tlio amount, but had since failed to report. McKay was married and had a family.
The magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, extended the term of probation for six months and warned accused that it was his duty to report. For being disorderly while drunk in Queen Street Michael Connolly, dealer, aged 66, was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment. Sub-Inspector Shanalian said accused had three previous convictions.
