LIGHTHOUSE TENDER.
MATAI FOR NEW ZEALAND
VESSEL LEAVING SHORTLY
LONDON. July 24
Captain William Manning will leave on July 31 with the twin-screw lighthouse general service tender Matai, built by Hawthorn, Leslie and Company, at Heb-burn-on-Tyne, for the New Zealand Government.
The Matai will sail via Panama at a reduced speed of nine knots. She is equipped with an echo-sounding machine and wireless has been installed in the cabin for tlie Governor-General's suite.
