ENCOURAGING AVIATION.
HERALD INTER-CLUB TROPHY.
In acknowledging receipt of the New Zealand Herald inter-club trophy to be forwarded to tho winner, Mr. D. H. Newbegin, of the Hawke's Bay and East Coast Aero Club, the committee of the Auckland Aero Club,states: —"It is felt that your firm's interest, so tangibly expressed in the inauguration of a series of inter-club contests, will indeed accomplish a very great deal as a spur to (ho activities of tho younger club-trained pilots in whose hands rests the Dominion's aerial future and perhaps our safety." The committee expresses grateful thanks of all members for the donation of the splendidly executed symbolic trophy made by John Burns and Company, Limited. The letter says that it was with great pleasure that the committee learned that tho trophy was designed and modelled locally.
