ROTORUA IMPROVEMENTS.
ATTITUDE OF RESIDENTS.
DEPUTATION TO COUNCIL
[rSY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ROTORUA, Friday.
A deputation wailed upon the Rotorua Borough Council and presented a petition with over 400 signatures, protesting against the proposal to reclaim a portion of tho lake front.
The deputation also protested against the leasing for building purposes of any portion of the reserves facing tho lake before a vote of the people was taken on the whole question. Tho Mayor assured tho deputation that many of tho points raised would receive the council's careful attention.
