]n (he round Kuropc air contest, Messrs. Tliorn, Alan Nut lor and Miss Spooner arrived at Paris ahead of the other competitors. Extremely difliculi (lying weather, with violent rainstorms, gusts of wind and low visibility, was encountered l>y the, competitors who (lew to-day in stages from Calais to Bristol and London and hack across the Channel. All the seven British entrants, including Lady Bailey and Miss Spooner, were well up in the first, flight. Some of the competitors had hecu weather-bound at Calais nearly all the. morning.

Mi. Butler in "his Gipsy Moth was the first, to reach Bristol. He. said he had seldom experienced more violent "humping." -After him came Thorn, Carherry, Miss Spooner, Andrews, Lady Bailey and Captain Broad. French and Gertnan competitors followed. Butler again led the departures for Tleston Air Park, London, and was first away for St. Ingeiveit, being closely followed by Polk (Germany) and Miss Spooner.
