Tho annual meeting of tho To Awamutu ! Beautifying Society was very largely attended, and indications aro for increased membership. It was shown in tho annual report that ft total of 850 standard trees had been planted in tho streets, and various reserves and corners had been beautified. Tho credit balance was £27. Tho election of officers resulted .-—Patron, tho Mayor; president, Dr. J, Iloborton; vice-presidents, Mrs. R. Dawson and Mr. A E. Patterson; secretary and treasurer, Mr. D.
