More of tho stock was sought at £99 10s, and buying limits for 1939 4£ per cents, were lifted 5s to the same level without receiving any further rcsponso from sellers. Offers took a slightly firmer trend in banks, but the business done was at lower levels. New South Wales were done on tho Sydney register at £35 17s 6d, a fall of 2s fid on the level of tho last local transaction.
